  2. this is also a popular dish of Malaysia. traditionally, in Malaysia for our peanut sauce, we always use peanuts, not peanut butter and for marinade for the meat, we use fennel seeds and other spices such as galangal.

  4. to be honest if i show this recipe to my grandma/grandpa they would have a heart attack lol. Since here in Indonesia we use peanut sauce in everything starting from salads, satays, shomays, etc literally everyone know how to make them and it's very different. but heyy, i'm your biggest fan and i'm not gonna judge you for your recipe, i think this recipe kicks some ass. like you often said, THE WORLD IS YOUR PICKLE MY FRIEND!   5. there are a lot of satay versions in Indonesia. This one is more like a Ponorogo Satay, which comes from East Java. It has a sweeter peanut sauce compared to the other satay versions

  6. In Indonesia (where satay originated from), they use sweet soja sauce, and they cook the sauce (Sate Madura). using peanut butter is really a great idea to replace the roasted peanuts. thank you Laura πŸ™‚
