  1. Green bean casserole is my favorite part of holiday meals. Weird, I know. But it's really the only time I ever eat it. Nobody else in my house likes it. I usually make it the traditional way with canned green beans & cream of mushroom soup. But THIS looks so good! And not really much more work. I definitely want to try this recipe!

  2. I am from South Mississippi and we have never made this at all. We do Italian green beans that are unbelievable! Green beans, lemon, olive oil, Italian bread crumbs, parmesan, garlic. Sooooo good!

    Thank you for the recipe. I think I will toast my fried onions a bit prior to topping my casserole. I like my fried onions with a bit of a crunch.

  4. Laura, I love and look up to you, but I have to disagree when it comes to the green beans. YES, fresh is always best, but if you can't get fresh, the next best thing is frozen because they are flash frozen at their freshest and at their peek. You can thaw them out and pat them dry. Whereas canned beans are sitting in liquid and absorb it all, because they are already cooked in the canning process. They will tend to turn very mushy indeed. So, frozen is better boo. Still love you tho. XOXOX
