  1. I just made this tonight and had a small sliver bc I just had to taste it and OH. MY. GOSH!!! This is such a good recipe. My face definitely lit up with sooo much excitement just from the first bite! It is heaven.

  2. Laura how about mince pie filling made from scratch . Pecans/ minced pie are my favorite. You put love & passion as well as vitality into your cooking. Great show, keep up the excellent work!

  3. This pie was to die for. It was the star of the dessert table. It took forever to cook in my oven though. After 1 hour the whole pie still jiggled. I mean it jiggled like pecans were floating in water. It took about 1.5 hours total to get it to a point where only the middle portion jiggled. Oh, at the 1 hr mark i re-covered the pie with aluminum foil so the crust wouldn't burn. I hope this helps anyone who thinks they've done something wrong and the pie is ruined.

  4. This is wrong. The mixture should be brought up to a boil and cooled, then add the eggs. That will give the pie body, and there won't be any need to use corn starch. This pie has no body at all, it's falling apart!

  6. dang it dang it. this is the second year i make this and it over flowed. it got all sloppy and all over the edges. 🙁
    also after the first hour it was way wobbley. so i left it in for another 30 minutes. what am i doing wrong. oh, and i took it out only because i had to get the turkey in. i took it out and it was a bit wobbley. when it cooled it got hard.

  9. It would be nice if the camera is not majority of the time focus on your face, Laura. If the cam was focusing on the foods and zooming in to see the texture and look of the pie or any foods would be awesome:)
