  1. Indians make a very similar dessert with tapiocas. its called Kheer in Hindi. The only difference is we dont add eggs and vanilla to it and we add saffron and cardamom. its very delicious. we also use it in savory cooking. sautee some onions chillis curry leaves and spices and add the tapioca and salt and garnish with fresh cilantro.

  2. FYI: If you do not soak your small tapioca pearls, please make sure your water is BOILING before you add them to the water without the soak. So it stays as a ball, if the water is NOT boiling when adding them to the water fresh from the package, they will become a ruined mess. Cook until translucent. Also, coconut milk is a great substitute <3 Yum πŸ˜‹
