  1. I know alot of people don't care for Ina but I absolutely love her…I used to make fun of her saying "get the good olive oil or get the GOOD cheese" and back then I didn't understand it. I do NOW! Simple ingredients but GOOD ingredients.

  2. What this presentation shows is that most modern chicken carcasses we get nowadays at the grocery or wherever are pretty flavorless. So when we cook chicken, we have to add lots of flavor. If you have the ability to access heritage chickens, or even grow them yourself, chicken can have a lot of its own flavor. Most industrial-farmed chicken we consume are breeds that, essentially, end up being mostly corn. If you have to put bacon on chicken, chances are, you aren't getting quality chicken.

  3. I've always enjoyed your cooking show when i learned however that you declined to help a dying girl and her Make a Wish Foundation request, I've lost respect for you. I'm a cancer survivor and a widower from breast cancer. No one cares how good of a cook you are and that you live in the Hamptons if you have no heart.

  4. I remember when I first found this lady, quite by accident, flicking through the channels. I was spellbound. Such a soft and gentle voice, so calming. The first US woman I have heard that did not grate on the ear. So, now I am still hooked. Great therapy, even if you do not cook.

  5. “Flapping around in the pan”? If your chicken is “Flapping around in the pan” while it’s in the oven, that means you need to call a Priest fast because you have a serious problem!

  6. I boil the bacon because I don’t want my chicken tasting like bacon just like Julia Child does. It’s better for a nice roast chicken.

  7. I used to like her cooking, but then her show turned into “Ina and her posh friends”. It got to be too much. She likes to cook and follow a recipe, and she is moneyed and lives in “The Hamptons.” She has a kitchen, appliances and FOOD most of us can’t even dream of. I didn’t need to watch a rich person playing with food. And yes, we KNOW lemon and garlic and chicken are meant for each other. And she even constantly repeats the the same recipes over and over.
