Sainte-Foy: Man falls from balcony of seniors centre, dies

News source from CTV News

A 69-year-old man died after falling from the second floor balcony of a seniors centre in Sainte-Foy Wednesday morning.

The man was reportedly a resident of the centre.

Quebec City police received a 911 call around 7:19 a.m. from an employee who discovered the man, deceased, on Alain St.

Constable Etienne Doyon, spokesperson for the SPVQ, said a preliminary inquiry did not reveal any criminal element, nor suicide.

It’s unknown whether it was the fall or the -30 degree overnight temperature that led to the man’s death.

An investigation is underway.
